Jesus is the Promised Immanuel, God with us. He is what Israel had always hoped for. He is all that we could hope for. He is our hope.

Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He came to bring peace to every area of our lives. Jesus is Peace.

Joy in the Advent story breaks into moments that feel anything but joyful. God brings joy into ordinary places, difficult circumstances, fearful nights, and unexpected situations. Advent joy is the joy of His presence, steady, surprising, and stronger than our circumstances.

In Advent, we see that God’s love comes close before we change, before we understand, and before we respond. The incarnation shows a love that is personal, initiating, and self-giving. Advent invites us to marvel at the God who moves toward us and to let that love shape how we move toward others.

When fear and chaos rises, Jesus reveals His power and presence. Faith isn’t found in still waters, but in the One who tells the waters to be still.

Jesus doesn’t promise a life without needs, instead He invites us to trade our anxiety for trust in Him. Our worries fade where our faith in the Father grows.

Jesus redefines our concept of “neighbor” as anyone in need within our reach, not just those who are easy for us to love. This is a key concept for living like Jesus.

When the disciples ask about greatness, Jesus brings a child into their midst. True faith is about humility, trust, and wonder, not status. To enter the kingdom, we must become small enough to receive it.

Jesus’ authority over sin and sickness prove his divinity.

Jesus has authority over evil, liberates the oppressed, and calls the restored to share what he’s done for them.

Jesus has the power to forgive sin, and he eagerly welcomes anyone, and invites us to recognize our need for him. Forgiveness is not earned by good behavior.

Jesus seeks, saves, and celebrates the lost, and we’re called to join in that joy!

Jesus will save and heal anyone that comes to him, including those that feel like outsiders.

True justification can’t come from good behavior or comparison with others, but through humility and repentance that looks to God’s mercy.

Jesus meets us right where we are and invites us into new life. Jesus changes everything—our hearts, actions, priorities, and even our relationships with others.

Jesus offers eternal life to all people and doesn’t make separations based on gender, race, family line, geography, or status.
