What Does this Teach Us About God?
God is a Father who already knows what we need before we ask. Prayer isn't about impressing Him or anyone else, but about relationship with Him.
What Does this Teach Us About People?
We're prone to pray for show or to pile up empty words. Jesus calls us instead to sincere, simple, honest prayer — and to forgive others as we'vebeen forgiven.
Main Point:
Jesus gave His disciples a posture to live by and an application to live out. He is now calling us to do the same.
Discovery Questions:
What does Jesus say NOT to do when we pray? Is this a personal prayer or a communal prayer? How do we tell the difference?
