    Real unity grows out of humility. We're called to the same mindset as Jesus, who let go of His rights and lowered Himself to serve.

  5. Discovery Questions:

    What does Paul say breaks unity, and what does he say builds it? What does it look like in practice to "value others above yourselves" without losing yourself? Paul points to Jesus as the example — what rights or status does Jesus let go of, and how far does He lower Himself? Why do you think humility, not agreement, is what Paul says holds a community together? Where is one place you could choose to serve or defer to someone this week?
